UK TRAVEL TRADE MEETS HONG KONG SUPPLIERS

The Hong Kong Tourism Board’s annual Hong Kong ‘Travel Mission to the UK’ returned for its 28th year on 5th March 2018, at 155 Bishopsgate in London.  This popular one day event, which has become a key feature in the travel trade calendar, was originally designed specifically for product and contracting managers from UK tour operators, to make new contacts and re-acquaint with the Hong Kong trade.  In more recent years this show has been opened up to MICE companies.

A fine selection of 33 buyers attended to include the following tour operators, OTAs and MICE agents: Amberley Project Ltd, British Airways Holidays, Brightsun Travel, Chic Locations, Collection Consulting, Cruise 1st, dnata (to include Gold Medal & Travel2), Element London, Gullivers Sports Travel, Travelopia (Hayes & Jarvis / Austravel), Horizon Resourcing, iglu.com, Imagine Cruising, Inside Asia Tours, Last Minute.com, Lees Travel Group, The Lotus Group, Meetings & Incentives Worldwide, Premier Holidays, Ramblers Walking Holidays, Royal Caribbean, Southall Travel, The Holiday Place, Touchdown Holidays, Trailfinders, Travco, Travelsphere, Virgin Holidays, Vivid Travel and Wexas.

In total 44 hotels, DMCs and attraction delegates showcased their products, as the UK is still regarded as one of the key European source markets to Hong Kong and contributed over 284,000 (32.5%) overnight arrivals during January to August 2017.

Jonathan Wilkins from Select Representation attended on behalf of Regal Hotels and found the event to be useful and very well organised by HKTB UK.
