HELP SAVE OUR PLANET!
We at Select Representation feel very strongly about protecting our planet and, particular, animal welfare so we have decided that we will support one of the following 3 wonderful charity organisations. Which one shall we choose?
What they do:
‘At International Animal Rescue we do exactly what our name says – we save animals from suffering around the world. Our work includes cutting free and caring for dancing bears in India, rescuing primates from captivity in Indonesia and sterilising and vaccinating stray dogs and cats in developing countries. Wherever possible we return rescued animals to their natural environment but we also provide a permanent home for animals that can no longer survive in the wild. As human populations expand, wildlife comes under increasing threat. By rescuing individual animals belonging to species like the orangutan and reintroducing them into protected areas in the wild, our work also plays a role in the conservation of the species as a whole.’
What they do:
‘WWF’s Earth Hour is the biggest movement to protect our planet. Hundreds of millions of people around the planet take part in WWF’s Earth Hour every year. Last year around 9 million took part in the UK alone. People do a wide range of things around the hour to show they care about our planet’s future. Millions choose to mark Earth Hour by going ‘lights out’ for 60 minutes at 8.30pm – a symbolic show of solidarity for the planet. This year, we want to get as many people in the UK to make a promise for the planet as we can.’
What they do:
‘FOUR PAWS is an international animal welfare charity. Our vision is a world where humans treat animals with respect, empathy and understanding. Our mission is to be the strong, global and independent voice for animals under human control.
- Creating sustainable solutions for animals in need
- Touching hearts, changing consumer behaviour
- Driving legal changes
- Building powerful partnerships
We aim to realise these goals through our projects and campaigns, which provide short-term and long-term solutions for animals in need.’
