Swimming Pool:

At the heart of Deevana Plaza Krabi Aonang is the large lagoon-style swimming pools, complete with a Jacuzzi pool. 3 – large swimming pools and one comfortable kid’s pool allow guests in the ground floor Premier Pool Access rooms to slip into the warm waters directly from their private terrace and welcome all other resorts guest to enjoy from morning to night time. With broad shade giving parasols and comfortable sun loungers at the poolside, it’s the perfect spot for a refreshing dip and relaxation throughout the day and early evening. Attractions:

Aonang is Krabi’s most popular Thai beach, a vibrant area offering a variety of leisure, activities, dining and entertainment. The beach itself is a lovely stretch of sand lined with palm trees. The views are spectacular, with limestone outcrops at the southern end of the beach and islands in the distance. Railay is a small peninsula just south of Aonang. Although it is part of the mainland it is not accessible by road because of cliffs and must be reached by boat. The trip takes around 15 minutes from Aonang. The peninsula features two spectacular beaches, the west-facing Sunset Beach and Phra Nang Bay. They are everybody’s vision of a true paradise; talc-like white sand lapped by emerald green water. Situated south of AoNang, 8 kmoffshore, Mu Koh Poda is fringed by clear waters, white sandy beaches and pristine coral reefs. Mu Koh Poda can be reached within 25 minutes by boat from Aonang. Khao Tapoo in Phang Nga Bay is one of the most scenic locations in South east Asia and makes an excellent day trip. The area is the site of stunning limestone formations, the most famous of which is Khao Tapoo, or Nail Mountain. The location was used in the Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun, hence it is now commonly referred to as James Bond Island. The islands of Koh Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh are among Thailand’s most beautiful destinations. Phi Phi Leh lies 6 km south of Phi Phi Don and comprises mainly of limestone cliffs surrounding an azure lagoon. The island’s Viking Cave is known for its prehistoric wall paintings and as a place where daring men can be seen climbing flimsy bamboo scaffold to collect swallows nests from the cavern walls.

Activities:

Krabi is renowned as the best place in South east Asia to learn rock climbing. There are many courses available, from half day to several days, all at very competitive prices. The instructors and guides are well trained and offer courses from beginner to advanced.

Nearby Phi Phi Don offers a wide range of interesting activities including climbing, caving, diving, snorkeling. Fishing trips can also be arranged and sea kayaks are available. For the more adventurous, the island’s cliffs offer climbers over 100 challenging routes. Krabi is renowned for diving and there are many dive schools operating in the area. Prices are reasonable and the standard of instruction is excellent. If you want to take a PADI Open Water course, the qualification needed to obtain a diving license, allow three to four days to complete it. The qualification will open up a whole new world to you in the beautiful waters around Krabi. There are several elephant camps in Krabi province. Guests can enjoy fabulous scenery on the treks. All camps offer free pick-up from the resort. More leisurely pursuits include golf at the Pakasai Country Club, located around 35 km from the beach. There is also a driving range near Aonang Beach.
