THERE’S NO TIME FOR BLAME..

It’s times like the dreaded ‘C19’ crisis when you learn who your ‘real’ friends and colleagues are. This really is not the time for political digs or gripes about what could or should have been done in the past. The current disaster is global and not just a localised problem.

Let’s be honest here. There’s never been a government that gets everything right. We can always point the finger and say you got this or that wrong. In fact, very rarely do people give praise when something went well under a particular government. Why is that? What I find particularly bizarre is that the opposition will always say the current government did wrong. Of course, it’s so easy to say that from the outside or in hindsight. When have you ever heard 2 political parties agreeing on something? It’s weird isn’t it! Surely, as human beings they must agree on something?!

Now is not a time for the blame game. This is a time for unity and support for each other. Forget your political stance on life and let’s work together to fight this dreaded pandemic that is damaging our world …and beloved travel industry. Like many businesses, travel companies (such as… hotels, airlines, travel agents, tour operators etc.) are asking staff to take unpaid leave, reducing wages / days of working, freezing recruitment and making roles redundant as the impact of the coronavirus bites harder. This now is all about survival and making sure we help each other through this torrid time.

We at Select Representation have been hit hard (like so many of our clients and travel buddies) BUT remain confident that our remarkable and resilient industry will rise from the ashes…. as it has done before.

The message is clear. Stay strong, be flexible, help each other, don’t panic buy and …..don’t forget to wash your hands.
